The small building in the churchyard of St Lawrence was originally built for a girl’s school in 1818 by William Bentinck, Rector of Sigglesthorne and has been through various activities over the years.
Recently, and after a lot of hard work and redevelopment, it now provides the village with a warm and welcoming place for meetings, electoral voting and community events.
Every week there is:
MONDAY 1-3pm - CRAFT and CHAT
THURSDAY 10.30am-12 - COFFEE MORNING
ALL WELCOME
The church has strong links with the councillors of Sigglesthorne Parish Council who work hard for the residents of the village.
As an inclusive and caring Church School, this small village school provides an excellent education and aims to develop a life-long love of learning.
There are strong links with St Lawrence’s Church, and the whole school attends regularly throughout the year including Christmas, Easter, Harvest Festival and End of Year services, together with visiting for the act of Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph in the Church grounds.
